Catherine Sueur, 33, received a master’s degree in engineering science at the Ecole Polytechnique and attented the French national school of administration (Ecole nationale d’administration). She began her career at the French Treasury (in the Finance Inspection department – ‘Inspection générale des finances’) where she carried out assignments on, among others, utility companies (gas), French television, the state education system and the justice system.
She is currently Deputy Executive Director (‘administratrice générale adjointe’) at the Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre), with dual reporting lines to senior management (President and Executive Director) and is in charge of the coordination of the whole of the museum’s cultural projects (exhibitions, publications multimedia tools), in addition to fundraising.
Catherine Sueur is also President of the Travail et Vie Association, a social reinsertion center that provides housing and activities to about 50 homeless people in Paris. She is also President of the Vanille et Cie Association, which provides live entertainment for children.
