Rémi El-Ouazzane

Vice-President
Texas Instruments Incorporated

As the vice president at Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), El-Ouazzane manages the OMAP™ platform business unit for TI’s wireless group. Under his leadership, the OMAP platform business unit delivers products to the fastest growing parts of the wireless industry – smart phones, Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and Netbooks. Beyond implementing TI’s overarching OMAP product vision, El-Ouazzane guides the separate groups inside of the OMAP organization, including engineering, product and business teams.

El-Ouazzane previously served as vice-president and worldwide general manager for TI’s cellular and connectivity system solutions business unit, a role in which he successfully helped grow TI’s mobile connectivity business. He also worked as the worldwide general manager for the 2G business unit within TI’s wireless business unit based in France. In addition, El-Ouazzane was the worldwide director of business and product management for the mobile connectivity solutions business unit, and served as the worldwide director of business and product management for the wireless networking business unit in TI’s broadband communications group before joining the wireless team.

El-Ouazzane earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School’s general manager program and a master’s degree of science in semiconductor physics engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble, France. He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Grenoble.

El-Ouazzane enjoys every opportunity to spend time with his wife Julie and their two daughters. An experienced world traveler, he now lives in Dallas, but has called a handful of places “home,” including France, the UK, the Philippines and the U.S. He has spent a good deal of time in Tunisia, from which his father’s family hails, and counts the French Alps as his favorite vacation spot.
