Sébastien Veil

Sébastien Veil joined the European private-equity firm PAI Partners in 2008 where he worked on several transactions in financial services, capital goods and building materials.

Prior to this, he was a member of Nicolas Sarkozy’s campaign staff and then worked at the Office of the French President, serving as an adviser for labor relations, employment policies and social dialogue. He was particularly in charge of dealing with labor unions and professional organizations and played an active part in the drafting of several laws reforming labor market regulations.

Before that, he served as a judge in the French Supreme Court for Administrative Justice (Conseil d’Etat), with a specialization in labor and health related litigations.

He graduated from Ecole Normale Supérieure, Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and Ecole Nationale d’Administration, and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales.
