New York, February 8, 2010 – The French-American Foundation launches its reciprocal exchange program on publishing and new technology in New York from Feb 8-13, 2010.

The powerful economic and technological forces transforming modern publishing, and the comparative perspectives in France and the U.S., are the focus of an investigative exchange between the two countries organized by the French-American Foundation in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture.

As part of its continuing partnership with France24, the French-American Foundation sponsored the the latest in series of debates on the U.S. presidential election. Ellen Kountz, Léa Salamé, Ken Weinstein and Nicholas Dungan discussed Senator John McCain's official nomination for the presidency at the Republican National Convention and his choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a running mate.

The French-American Foundation announces that David de Rothschild, Senior Partner of Rothschild et Cie Banque in Paris and Chairman of the Rothschild Group worldwide, will be the 2008 recipient of its prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award. The award will be presented on the evening of November 18, 2008 at the French-American Foundation’s Annual Gala Dinner in New York City, held at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

This year’s Young Leaders will visit Chicago, Illinois, the land of Lincoln and the home of U.S. President Barack Obama, from September 23-27.
