Damaso Reyes

Damaso Reyes is an independent journalist and media literacy expert based in Barcelona, Spain. He is also the founder of Clarify Media, a media literacy company dedicated to training educators, students and organizations to be more information literate.

Over more than 20 years as a journalist and photographer he has worked throughout the United States and Europe and in countries as varied as Rwanda and Indonesia. His work has been published by the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Der Spiegel.

In addition to being a 2008 Fulbright Specialist, Damaso is the recipient of several fellowships and awards and including an Arthur F. Burns Fellowship; a 2012 Knight-Luce fellow in global reporting; a 2013 French American Foundation fellowship for immigration reporting and a 2015 Holbrooke Fellowship from the International Center for Journalists.
